How much does tutoring cost in Perth?

Everest Tutoring charges per 10-week term with one weekly class per subject: $350 for a Years 7 to 10 subject ($800 for Maths, Science and English together), $400 for an ATAR subject ($950 for three), $600 for Year 4 GATE and $750 for Year 5 and 6 GATE. Private tutoring is $80 per hour. The first class is free.

Small-group classes cost between $35 and $75 a week depending on the programme, which works out at $35 to $40 an hour for a Years 7 to 12 subject and $24 to $30 an hour for the 2.5-hour GATE classes.

Private tutors in Perth typically charge $60 to $90 an hour. A term of ten small-group classes at Everest costs $350 to $400, against $600 to $900 for ten private hours.

Fees are payable per term. Students who join mid-term pay only for the weeks remaining, and up to two missed classes carry forward as credit.
