School holiday masterclasses in Perth

Everest Tutoring runs four school-holiday intensives, all capped at 10: the January GATE masterclass (six 2.5-hour sessions, $450), the Years 7 and 9 NAPLAN masterclass (six three-hour sessions, $480), the Year 11 and 12 ATAR masterclass ($15 an hour) and the Year 12 WACE revision masterclass in the Term 3 holidays.

Why January. The January holidays are the only stretch of the year with no school assessment in it. A student who covers the first four to five weeks of the term in advance spends Term 1 consolidating rather than catching up, and a GATE student sitting the March test gets a full timed mock while there is still time to act on it.

Holiday masterclass questions

When exactly do the January masterclasses run?

They run in one week in the January holidays, inside the 12 to 23 January 2027 window. Exact days and times are confirmed in November, once the WA public school term dates for 2027 are final and the centre timetables are set.

Do I have to be an enrolled Everest student?

No. All four masterclasses can be booked on their own, and many families use a January masterclass as their first contact with Everest before deciding on a term enrolment.

What does a masterclass cost?

The January GATE masterclass is $450 for the six sessions and the NAPLAN masterclass is $480. The ATAR holiday masterclass is $15 an hour per subject, and WACE revision is charged at the same hourly rate as the weekly ATAR class. Prices include GST.

What if my child can only come to some of the days?

Partial attendance is charged pro rata, so you pay for the sessions booked. The timed mock and the review session are the two most worth keeping if you have to choose.

Are the masterclasses in person?

Yes. GATE and NAPLAN masterclasses run at Harrisdale and Willetton, with GATE also at Perth Modern; ATAR and WACE revision masterclasses run at Harrisdale and Willetton.
