Everest Tutoring

Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every Everest Tutoring class, course and masterclass. Everest Tutoring is a trading name of BSGBM Pty Ltd, ABN 39 601 405 047. Enrolling a student, or attending a class after the free trial, means you accept them.

1. Enrolment and the free trial

The first class is free. No payment details are taken to book it and there is no entry test. Enrolment begins when you complete the enrolment form and pay the term fee, at which point you are committed to that term's fees.

Enrolment rolls over to the following term so your child keeps the same class and tutor. You can change class, pause or stop from the parent portal before the next term's invoice is charged.

2. Fees

Group class fees are payable per 10-week term in advance. Students who join part way through a term are invoiced pro rata for the weeks remaining. Every price we publish includes GST, and there is no enrolment fee, booking fee or materials fee.

One-to-one sessions are charged to the card on file after each session rather than per term. UCAT is billed fortnightly. Holiday masterclasses are paid in full at booking, and partial attendance is charged pro rata.

The current fees for every programme are published on the pricing page. Fees can change between terms; a change is notified before the term it applies to.

3. Discounts

Sibling discount: 10% off for one sibling, 15% off for two or more, on group classes. Referral discount: the referring family and the new family each receive 20% off that term, stacking to a cap of the full fee, for new students only and claimed at enrolment. Discounts do not stack with each other; the highest single discount applies.

4. Attendance, missed classes and cancellations

Up to two missed classes a term carry forward as credit to the next term where you give at least 24 hours notice. Catch-up classes are subject to availability; where no catch-up is available, the materials for the missed class are provided. There is no refund for a missed class.

One-to-one sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged in full. If Everest cancels a class, you receive a credit or a refund. Full detail is on the refunds and cancellations page.

5. Class size and format

Group classes are capped at 10 students and most run with six to eight. Everest may combine or move a class where numbers require it, and will contact you before doing so. Online classes run live on Zoom in Perth time with cameras on; recordings are provided for revision and are not to be shared.

6. Materials and copyright

Everest booklets, question banks, mock exams and reports are the copyright of BSGBM Pty Ltd and are licensed to the enrolled student for personal study only. They may not be copied, resold, shared outside the household or used to teach other students.

7. Behaviour and safety

Students are expected to arrive on time, work in class and treat tutors and other students with respect. Everest can end an enrolment for behaviour that stops other students learning, or for any conduct that puts a person at risk. All tutors hold a current Working with Children Check.

8. Interview and medicine entry programmes

The medicine interview programme carries its own guarantee: a full refund within 14 days of enrolling, and fees convert to Everest tutoring credit if no interview invitation arrives. Everest is an independent provider with no affiliation to, connection with or endorsement by any university, and does not guarantee an interview or admission outcome.

9. Outcomes

Everest Tutoring does not guarantee specific academic outcomes. Published results are counted from students who sat the relevant test and shared their result with us, and the counting method is stated wherever a figure appears.

10. Privacy

Personal information is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. See the privacy policy for what is collected, how it is used and how to ask for it to be deleted.

11. Consumer law and governing law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
