Privacy policy
Everest Tutoring collects the contact details needed to book and teach a class, the academic information needed to teach and report on a student, and website analytics. It handles all of it under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Everest Tutoring is a trading name of BSGBM Pty Ltd, ABN 39 601 405 047.

Children and consent
Students under 18 are enrolled by a parent or guardian, who gives consent on the student's behalf. Academic information is sensitive information, and we collect and use it only for teaching, reporting and support. We do not publish a student's name, result or photograph without written consent from the parent, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Who we share information with
We share what is necessary with the service providers that run the business: Stripe for payments, Google Workspace for email and documents, Resend for transactional email, ClickSend for SMS, and Railway and Vercel for hosting. Where a class runs on a school campus, attendance is shared with that school. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Tracking on this website
This site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics 4, the Google Ads conversion tag and the Meta pixel. These record the pages you view, the actions you take (for example starting a trial booking) and an advertising identifier, and they let us see which advertising leads to an enquiry. Meta and Google set their own cookies and may match activity to an account you hold with them.
We also record first-touch attribution (the campaign or search that brought you here) against an enquiry, so the centre team knows where a family came from.
How to opt out of tracking
You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, change what Google uses for advertising at My Ad Center, and change Meta's use of off-Facebook activity in your Facebook or Instagram Accounts Center. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser, or using a browser with tracking protection, stops these pixels as well. Nothing on this site is gated behind accepting tracking.
Marketing email and SMS
Term reminders, invoices and class changes are service messages and are sent to every enrolled family. Marketing email and SMS carry an unsubscribe link or a reply-to-stop instruction, and unsubscribing from marketing does not stop the service messages you need.
Security
Access to student records is limited to the staff who need it, every change to a record is logged, and portals require a sign-in. If a data breach were ever likely to cause serious harm we would notify affected families and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email info@everesttutoring.com.au to ask for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We reply within 30 days. Records we must keep for tax purposes are retained; everything else is deleted on request. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy question you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
